The collection contains two letters from John Cook Wyllie, 1938 December 15 and 16, to Eugene Wager concering the compilation of an index to the Alumni News, the Alumni Bulletin and the University Magazine and his reasons for maintaining a "strict use of the Index." The collection also contains notes on the checking of abbreviations and capital letters; a copy of a name index through "Alderman"; entries on "Athletics" and their sources in Alumni News and College Topics; a list of terms in a subject index; and two pages, 1948, reporting the indexing of Volumes 35 and 36.
